Ray Bradbury once said “And when you hear the sound of the waterfall coming nearer and nearer, tidy up the boat, put on your best tie and hat, and smoke a cigar right up till the moment you go over. That’s a triumph.”  The beauty and feeling  of waterfalls caress and the Boti falls is not an expection of that. The Boti falls is a tourist site located just 17km North-East of Koforidua  in Huhunya ,Manya Krobo district in Eastern Region of Ghana. It beauty is able to attract foreigners from far country out of our continent and indigenes. This serves as a source revenue to the state. During our visit to the Boti falls as a group on assignment searching for information ,as our eyes were set into observation from the entrance we saw this beautiful natural rock at the entrance visitors sit on for selfies or pictures. As our journey continued to the falls with the tour guard accompanying us,we got to the 250 concrete steps which is behind the Nkrumah building. History has it that  these beautiful stairs were built or initiated by Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
The Boti falls is a twin with male at the left side and female at the right side.According to some local folks when the volume of water is high especially during the rainy season, the two meet in what the local describe as "a mating ceremony". As we asked out of curiosity where the water falls from, the tour guard answered saying " the Boti falls takes its course from a river in the middle of a forest called the Ponmpon in Houhunya distri. The Boti falls as a huge rock lying ,the local folks says it is believed that if a barren woman should sit on the rock, she is going to conceive twins.Could this be a myth ? One beauty of the falls is that visitors are not spectators but are allowed to have experience by doing some swimming with the expectation of children and  canoe riding.
The twin falls has side attractions that visitors experience when they come around. These are the umbrella rock and the three palm tree. The addition of music ,food such as cocoa and palm wine spices up the place.
Our  admiration of  this beauty of nature  has, was exciting and one that is unforgettable. This give confirmation of what Margret Atwood said "Water does not resist.Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it ,all you feel is a caress".
