Umbrella Rock

UMBRELLA ROCK written by: Persis Amankwah Dcs 20094 The umbrella rock as the name implies is a rock hanging on a small but strong pivot that provides shade to about 12 to 15 people at a time. The rock is found at the site of the Boti falls in the Yilo krobo District in the Eastern Region of Ghana and it is about 30 minutes walk and a 10 minutes drive away from the Boti falls. Yea rly, many Tourists travel to Boti Falls for its natural beauty and the umbrella rock is visible through much of the trek to the falls. The umbrella rock is said to have been discovered by a hunter who had gone hunting in the bush so many years back. The hunter returned to inform the people of Yilo krobo about the strange rock and has since become one of rhe major tourists site in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
